David J. Herbe, CPA, principal and tax consulting senior manager and director of client accounting services, joined Schaffner, Knight, Minnaugh & Company, P.C. in 1999. On January 1, 2010, Schaffner, Knight, Minnaugh & Company, P.C. promoted him to firm principal.

With over 25 years of accounting experience, Dave specializes in corporate and individual income tax consulting, sales tax consulting, accounting principles, buy-sell transactions, small business consulting and estate planning. His industries of expertise consist of auto dealerships, construction, and medical practices. He also manages the individual tax compliance and client accounting aspects of Schaffner, Knight, Minnaugh & Company, P.C.

After graduating from McDowell High School, Dave earned his B.S. degree in Accounting from Edinboro University. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1989. Professionally, he is a member of the American Institute and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
